Ensors Accountants raises £1260 for West Suffolk NHS charity

In June, Ensors invited teams of local professionals to take part in their ‘Beer Challenge’, held for the first time in Bury St. Edmunds. A longstanding favourite in Ipswich and Cambridge for over two decades, their signature format made its debut in the town after many years of successful events in the area.

Participants were challenged to decode the names of the 5 pubs they needed to visit throughout the evening. At each stop, they had general knowledge quiz rounds to complete based on this year’s theme of “Icons & Idols” and bonus points were awarded to those who dressed up in the spirit of the event.

Each team made an entry fee donation to My WIsh Charity, who support West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, including West Suffolk Hospital, Newmarket Hospital and associated services within the community.

This year marks the fourth year that Ensors has supported My WIsh Charity. The raised funds from will be split across two initiatives that aim to support patients living with dementia during their time in hospital.

Chris Barrett, Ensors’ Bury Office Partner, commented:

“We are pleased to have supported My WIsh Charity and the incredible work they to do for the community.  We are proud to have continued our support this year and thank you to our professional peers for their generous contributions to an important cause.”

Sally Daniels, Grants and Appeals Manager at My WIsh Charity:

“Thank you so much to Ensors for supporting us for a fourth time.  To date, they have raised £5000, which is incredible.  These donations make such a big difference and allow us to enhance the care of patients across the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.”
