Trainee Scheme

Looking to start a challenging and rewarding career in accountancy at one of the region’s most engaging practices?

We are now accepting applications for our January 2022 Trainee Programme.  We will be accepting applications for our Autumn 2022 Trainee Programme from 1 November.  From time to time, we may also advertise additional vacancies; please monitor this page for updates.

By joining us as a Trainee Accountant you will be able to study for professional qualifications whilst also gaining vital hands-on, task-focussed work experience in our busy, growing, multi-disciplinary practice.

We have a series of short webinars available that provide some useful information about following a career in accountancy and the benefits of training with Ensors. To view please follow this link.  We also have a brochure and a leaflet which you can download to view - please refer to the links at the foot of this page.

As an AAT trainee you will follow formal training through an apprenticeship framework for the AAT qualification.

For the AAT trainee programme we would expect applicants to be non-graduates and require you to have (or be predicted) either:

A minimum of 2 A levels at Grade C or above (including Maths) OR the equivalent standard in a business related vocational qualification.  If you do not hold a Maths A level, then we expect a minimum attainment of Grade B/Grade 6 in GCSE Maths.

Once AAT qualified you may go on to study for chartered qualifications.

As an applicant for the ACA (also known as ICAEW) or ACCA trainee programme we would expect you to be a graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree.

All trainees are supported throughout their professional studies.  You will be closely supervised and your work will be regularly reviewed by more senior staff.  We foster a collaborative and agile culture and can offer you a rotation across a number of our departments during your training period.  The firm will pay all tuition and Institute fees and you will also be entitled to paid time off for your studies.

If you are interested earning while you learn at Ensors Chartered Accountants please submit your CV together with a covering letter explaining which location(s) you are interested in (in order of preference if applicable) to hr@ensors.co.uk.  Please include full details of your academic results to date (including predicted grades, if applicable).  Please also state if you have applied to Ensors on a previous occasion.
