  • Expanding your Academy Trust

    New guidance has been released which is intended for those Academies that are considering becoming multi-academy trusts (MAT).
  • August Accounts Return 2015 to 2016

    The August accounts return is expected to be issued in Mid November. The delay may have been caused by the creation of a new online form which is hoped will simplify and speed up the process for completing and submitting your financial returns long term.
  • Accounting Officer Letter

    Peter Lauener, chief executive of the Education Funding Agency has written a letter to all accounting officers reflecting on the accounting officer's key responsibilities and highlighting important financial management and governance issues.
  • Academies Financial Handbook 2016

    The 2016 edition of this handbook sets out the financial management, control and reporting requirements that apply to all Academy Trusts.
  • Academies Accounts direction 2015-2016

    All Academy Trusts must use the Academies Accounts Direction 2015 to 2016 when preparing their financial statements for the period ending 31 August 2016.
  • New Apprenticeship Levy Structure Announced

    From Spring 2017, the way in which apprenticeships are funded by the government is changing. All UK employers with a pay bill over £3m will be required to make an investment in apprenticeships.

    From April 2016, all incorporated charities must keep a new statutory register of people with significant control also known as a PSC register.
