Scam ‘HMRC’ emails

By Ensors Team
15th Mar 2013

It would appear that fraudulent emails purporting to be from HMRC are still doing the rounds and are getting more and more realistic.

They claim to be notifications of a tax rebate, demands for payment of tax or simply asking you to disclose personal or payment information.  Please be aware.  HMRC would never send such notifications or requests via email or telephone.

If you receive such an email please do not open any attachments or follow any links.  Simply forward to HMRC so that they can be made of aware of the scam.  Then delete the email from your inbox and your deleted items folder.
