Saxmundham team cycle for St Elizabeth Hospice

On 1 October at 1pm a team of 7 cyclists and 1 support driver set out from Ensors Chartered Accountants office in Saxmundham for a 25 mile challenge all in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.

The group, who all work at Ensors Saxmundham Office in Rendham Road, included novice cyclists, who hadn’t been on a bike since childhood, to more experienced individuals who are regular participants. The circular route took the Ensors team around the back roads of north Suffolk taking in Snape, Sudbourne, Chillesford, Blaxhall, and Sweffling, and stopping off at Ladybird Nurseries and The Froize for much needed breaks and refreshments.  So far they have raised just under £800 and are well on target to reach their goal of £1000.

Jeanette Brierley, Manager at Ensors, experienced cyclist and organiser of the event said “I wanted to do something that got the team involved and active.  We spend so much time sitting at our desks staring at a screen I thought a cycle ride in the fresh air would do us all good – as well as raise some funds for the Hospice.  We would like to thank all those who donated funds to the cause including many clients and professional contacts”

This event was just the first part of the St Elizabeth Hospice Accumulator challenge, an initiative that sees teams being given £50 by the Hospice to help them raise as much money as possible over a 3 month period.
