Meet our new team member - James Spencer
James joined Ensors in 2014 having graduated from the University of Oxford. Initially joining the firm as a Trainee Accountant within the Private Client team, he was eager to develop his skills and went on to work in both the firm’s Business Services and Corporate Services teams each for 12 months and 23 months respectively.
On successful completion of his studies in 2017, James was promoted to Senior Accountant and moved to the Corporate Finance and Forensics team in January 2018. Below we find out a little more about James and what his interests outside work are.
What attracted you to join the forensic accounting and corporate finance team?
The work the team do here is actually what attracted me to apply to Ensors in the first place. It appeals to the problem solving side of my nature. Each case that we come across is a unique puzzle that must be solved.
What is your favourite venue in Ipswich?
Within Ipswich itself, I enjoy many of the old town pubs. I am particularly fond of the Thomas Wolsey for a good beer.
What is your tipple of choice?
As you may tell from the above, I am partial to a good pint of real ale. I am also no stranger to a Belgian beer or two.
What do you enjoy outside work?
For leisure, I enjoy the countryside around Ipswich. I can often be found walking or jogging along sections of the Fynn Valley Walk or camping somewhere in Suffolk.
