Leading East Anglian accountancy practice, Ensors Chartered Accountants, is pleased to announce the promotion of Dominick Knight and Hugh Simpson to Associate Partner, further strengthening the firm’s offering across the region.

The promotions follow 18 months of exponential growth for the firm, including a new foothold in Norwich and a number of senior hires across the business.

Having joined Ensors in 2016, Dominick oversees the output of the firm’s Corporate Services Team in Ipswich. Specialising in audit and accountancy services across the region, he also plays a vital role in the firm’s award-winning Pension sector team.

He was also recently featured in Accountancy Age’s 35 under 35 for 2024 which recognises the industry’s rising talent and celebrates their professional achievements and contributions to the sector.

Hugh began his journey at Ensors in 2013 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, where he leads the firm’s dedicated Agriculture services alongside fellow Partners, Graham Page and Neil Meekings. His prior experience of growing up on a mixed farm has given him a deep understanding of the challenges that farmers face, and offers tailored advice on diversification, compliance, and applicable tax reliefs to navigate the seasonal highs and lows.

As a strong advocate of the farming community, Hugh is also an elected member of the Essex Country Land and Business Association (CLA) committee.

Malcolm McGready, Senior Partner at Ensors, says of the promotions: “We are thrilled to welcome Hugh and Dominick to the Ensors Partnership. Both bring a wealth of expertise to their respective roles and are highly respected by their industry peers and colleagues alike.”
