Making Tax Digital & Cloud Accounting
We are now entering the final countdown to the introduction of Making Tax Digital for VAT.
From April 2019, VAT registered businesses with turnover above the VAT threshold will need to be ready to file their VAT returns directly to HMRC via “digital software”, rather than using HMRC’s gateway. Quarterly reports for corporation tax and income tax may follow in 2020.
The question is, are you ready yet?
With this in mind, we are hosting a series of free seminars across the region this Autumn to provide you with more detail of the MTD requirements, some of the problems that have been encountered so far, and the potential solution.
The seminars will include a demonstration of cloud accounting software from Quickbooks Online, which will cover the benefits of adopting a cloud package, and explore how automation of certain aspects of accounting functions could make your life easier.
