Farming breakfasts 2018

For our 2018 series of Farming Breakfasts, held in conjunction with Lloyds Agricultural Banking team, at The Cedars Stowmarket, we have an interesting and hopefully, thought provoking line-up of speakers.

Thursday 25 January – “Planning permission in the countryside”

Roland Thomas, chartered surveyor at Acorus Rural Property Services, has over 25 years of rural planning and development experience including rural property issues and building design. He will discuss three key areas of rural planning; permitted development, removing Agricultural Occupancy Conditions and residential development sites.

Thursday 22 February – “Economic update”

The Lloyds Financial Markets team will provide their annual review of how farming, farmers and the UK are faring in the current economic climate; always an informative and popular talk.

Thursday 22 March – “Rural crime”

Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner Tim Passmore will deliver our final seminar on the criminal activity that affects rural communities. For the past 30 years Tim has been an intensive livestock producer and as a self-employed agricultural and rural business consultant, he has delivered seminars to a variety of farming and agribusiness organisations.
