‘Items Inspector’ is a tool you can use to report on or analyse specific transactions using a variety of different filters.

This has a variety of uses, which includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Filtering ‘Heading Codes’ by ‘Enterprise’. If you are using ‘Enterprises’ to distinguish between harvest years, you can use Items Inspector to report specific ‘Heading Codes’ by harvest year as opposed to searching by date.
  • Searching by supplier or customer for a specific date range, if, for example, you wanted to report on total spend for the period with a specific supplier, or report on sales for the period with a specific supplier; or
  • Searching by VAT Code for a specific period, if for example, you are subject to Partial Exemption rules and wanted to check total spend or VAT claimed in relation to exempt supplies for the period.

To open Items Inspector, on the home screen click on “Office Accounts” and then “Items” or go to “Inspectors” on the top toolbar and click “Items”.

This brings up a screen with a list of filters. Once you have chosen your filters you can click “View Items” to bring up a list of transactions on screen.

You can then click “Report” to either print the list or to export it to a spreadsheet where you can manipulate the data further.

If you require any assistance or have any queries on using the features discussed, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your usual Ensors contact who will be able to direct you to a member of the team who can assist further.
