Helen Carey

Helen made the move to private practice in 1996, having spent 10 years with HM Customs & Excise (now HM Revenue & Customs), where she gained extensive knowledge and experience of VAT legislation and procedures. As a VAT Inspector, she carried out audits of all types of businesses, ranging from sole traders to large multi-nationals.

Having developed and enhanced her skills in the private sector, Helen offers reliable, practical advice on VAT matters to businesses of all sizes including owner-managed SMEs and larger multinationals. She particularly enjoys working in the land and property sector. Her open, straightforward approach helps clients understand and comply with legislation, while ensuring they take full advantage of available deductions and rebates.
