Location: Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ipswich and Saxmundham

Looking to start a challenging and rewarding career in accountancy at one of the region’s most prestigious and highly regarded practices?

We are now accepting applications for AAT and ACA/ACCA 2018 trainee programmes which commence late summer 2018.  Trainee vacancies are available at the following Ensors’ offices:
Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Saxmundham, Cambridge and Huntingdon

By joining us as a Trainee Accountant you will be able to study for professional qualifications whilst also gaining vital hands-on, task-focussed work experience in our busy, growing, multi-disciplinary practice.

As an AAT trainee you will follow formal training through an apprenticeship framework for the AAT qualification.  We would expect applicants to be non-graduates and require you to have (or be predicted) either a minimum of 2 A levels at Grade C or above (including Maths) OR the equivalent standard in a business related vocational qualification.   If you do not hold a Maths A level, then we expect a minimum attainment of Grade B/Grade 6 in GCSE Maths.  Once AAT qualified you may go on to study for chartered qualifications.

As an applicant for the ACA or ACCA trainee programme we would expect you to be a graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree.

Key skills required:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Self motivated, hard working, flexible and prepared to undertake some travel.
• Ambitious with drive and resilience.
• Enthusiasm with a keen interest in learning and professional development.
• Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail.

We have a fantastic study support package to offer. The firm will pay all tuition and Institute fees and you will also be entitled to paid time off for your studies, along with mentoring support.

Our client portfolio includes business clients across the spectrum from the very small to groups turning over several hundreds of million pounds including OMBs, subsidiaries of larger international groups, charities, pension schemes and LLPs.  Therefore we can offer you a stimulating and varied portfolio of work, coupled with rotation across a number of our departments during your training period.  See what our current trainees have to say about working for us here.

If you are interested in earning while you learn at Ensors, please submit your CV together with a covering letter to our HR department or by post to Kathryn Mellon, HR Manager, at our Ipswich office.  Please include the following information:

• Which of the above office locations you are applying for (in order of preference if applicable).
• Full details of your academic results (including predicted results, where applicable).
• If you have applied previously to Ensors, please indicate this.

The deadline for applications is 31 January 2018.  However if we receive a high volume of applications we reserve the right to withdraw the advertisement early, so please apply as soon as possible to secure your application.
