Having qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young Ian joined Ensors in 1988, becoming partner in 1990. During this time, he has worked alongside corporate clients from a wide variety of sectors – building close working relationships to ensure the delivery of a tailored, flexible service.
In addition to audit and tax compliance work, Ian has been involved in group reorganisations, overseas operations, conversions to LLP, supporting management teams during difficult phases by facilitating meetings, trustee training and ad hoc assignments including investigation and valuation work.
In recent years, Ian has focused upon the specialist sectors of professionals and charities – establishing a significant client base in both and recently being accredited with the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting. With a natural and straightforward presentation style, Ian is a regular speaker on both topics – making often highly technical issues digestible. In addition, he is a trustee of two grant making trusts.
