Unsung community heroes

The team at Ensors don’t just spend all their time doing your accounts and tax returns you know! Many of them get actively involved in their local communities – whether this be supporting the development of local sporting clubs, raising much needed money for charity or providing their expertise free-of-charge to those less fortunate.

Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to over the summer …
June
David Scrivener, Chris Barrett and Scott Earrey took part in the ‘Run for Moore’ race in aid of The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK and, Sally Campbell fearlessly took part in the St Elizabeth Hospice zip slide over Ipswich Town FC ground at Portman Road.
July
Louise Rogers ran her way to success in the Ipswich Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.
August
John Edgar cycled 60 miles around north Suffolk (in one day!) – in aid of The Anthony Nolan Trust
September
John Allsop walked 25 miles along the River Orwell in aid of Ipswich Rotary.

And our heroes don’t stop there …

Graham Leroy has his eye on 2012 by being vice chairman, coach, team manager and time-keeper at West Suffolk Athletics Club.
Belinda Gledhill is a volunteer with Tax Help for Older People assisting with tax problems, completing Revenue forms or simply checking PAYE codes.
Roger Wilson is treasurer and coach for Cambridge City Junior Hockey Club.
Graham Page is trustee for Haverhill Youth Activities Trust and The Samuel Ward Educational Trust – helping underprivileged youngsters.
As a volunteer warden, Yvonne Graham picks up litter at her local RSPB reserve and, last but by no means least, Simon Tuddenham devotes time to be a mentor at the Drug Rehabilitation Centre.

Congratulations to all our Ensors unsung community heroes!
